January 24, 2022 First week in Blacksburg. . . . sick!

 Hey everybody,

This week was pretty good.  I got say goodbye to everybody in New Martinsville, but I am sad to see them go.  I learned a lot there.

But I also have some not so good news, as well I've come down with some sort of sickness and I'll be in quarantine till tomorrow. So luckily, I'll be able to work soon. But it was really hard just staying inside all day. I hope I never get sick again! But I'm feeling better and again I'm excited to work hard in the Blacksburg area.

I'm also excited to help my district reach success as well. Speaking of which I have an awesome district. There's Elder Brittian (who's my companion) Elder Tuft, Elder Adcox, Sister Burt, Sister Latouche, Sister Waltin and Sister Garrison. I'm excited to get to know them and I'm hoping I can be the DL they need me to be. Wish me luck and pray for me.

Love you guys and thanks for all the support y’all give me each day.  Keep up the good work with whatever you’re doing. And good luck.

January 19, 2022 New Area and a New Assignment!

 Hey everybody!

This week was really cool.  We found some potential new friends.  One was a family that just let us into their house, which felt super weird but awesome too.  We shared a scripture with them from Mathew 17. They loved it and we’re hoping to meet with them again.

Well.... I hope my comps do because I’M GETTING TRANSFERRED!!!! I don't know where, but I’ll find out tomorrow which is crazy. Wish me luck. But other than that crazy stuff, things have been good. I've been working hard and losing some weight too which is always good. Anyway, I'll make sure to tell y’all all about my next area. Still can't believe I have 9 months left which is crazy to me, but I don't care about it and I'm just gonna run to the finish line.

Love ya guys and keep it awesome

Update:  I’ve been transferred to Blacksburg, VA (home of Virginia Tech) and have been called to be the District Leader (DL)

January 2, 2022 Happy New Year!

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!

I'm so excited to see what happens this year and how I'm going to be able to serve the Lord. This past week was alright. We just did a lot of knocking and meeting people so that is always a good thing.  But other than that we actually saw the fruits of our labors.

We met a Lady named Pam who was really nice.  She let us talk to her about the Restoration and we also were able to teach half of the Plan of Salvation. She seemed to like us and invited us to come back this week, so we are excited for that.

We were also able to visit a family named the Becks this last week and that was awesome because they own two dogs, Emma and Ellie.  And Sister Beck owns a lot of birds. We also got to teach their kids: Izzie, Kaden, and Travis. They are just awesome kids. They invited us to come back this week also so we are excited and getting ready for that, (I think I will make a trifle for them).

Anyway, that's the main stuff we planned this week but other than that we will play it by ear. Thank you guys for all that you do and thanks for the support.

Love Ya

-Elder Toma
