March 29, 2021 Being transferred -- so long Galax!

 

Hey guys, 

This week was good.  We got a couple new people and we taught an awesome lesson on the Plan of Salvation. 

We also helped an investigator named Mark move a bunch of logs all over his property which was actually pretty fun then he bought us cracker barrel which was very nice of him. 

I read a pretty great scripture recently in Alma 18: 34.  It says,  

"Ammon said unto him: I am a man; and man in the beginning was created after the image of God, and I am called by his Holy Spirit to teach these things unto this people, that they may be brought to a knowledge of that which is just and true;"

I will be transferring to a new location this week.  Don't know where yet.

March 15, 2021 Finding New People To Teach

Hey family!

Last week was awesome we found four new people and taught some members as well as some investigators.

Elder Diede is becoming a master chef more by the day. Oh, and I forgot to mention that he is originally assigned to the Kobe Japan mission, which is really awesome.

I also found a pretty good scripture in my studies- Isaiah 41:10 

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. 

I like it because it tells us to basically not fear our troubles because God will always be there for us or to comfort us.  

Anyway, that's all folks.

Hey everyone!

Life's going alright here.  My new companion is really cool.  He loves to cook and clean he also is helping me lose weight as well which is great. 

My mission president is a nice guy. 

Everything else is good.  We're finding people through the area book a lot. We just gave a lady a Book of Mormon which was great.  Her house smelled like weed so that's not so great sadly. 

D&C 80:3 is an amazing scripture pertaining to missionary work too.  So you should read it!  It's pretty great for now especially.

3 Wherefore, go ye and preach my gospel, whether to the north or to the south, to the east or to the west, it mattereth not, for ye cannot go amiss.

Anyways, that's my week.  Love you all and hope you guys stay safe.

Remember dad, you're getting old so no bungie jumping or skydiving and definitely no staying up past 10PM,  OK?!
